BURN2 OCTOBURN: AXIS MUNDI

Burn2's annual "big burn" event, Octoburn, echoes the event in the Black Rock desert, with the familiar sights and sounds, look and feel of the ancient dry lake bed where a city has sprung up from the dust. We will go beyond that, too - inspired by the same Burning Man theme for this year, with amazing, strange and wonderful possibilities for creating structure, art and sound from a barren virtual playa. The Man will be there. The Temple will be there. Center Camp will be there. And we will have our plots and HUBS. Most of all, we will be there, together!
This is what we'll see in October: Step off a road, walk into a camp, and you'll enter an unknown world created by the owner of that plot. It could be a sound camp or an art camp with stages and schedules each their own. It could be a small regular camp with tents and campfires, or it could be an elaborate work of art. Part of the magic is the unexpected.
Calling creatives! Consider the Burning Man art theme for 2026. Builders, get out your tools and pencils! Artists, deploy your mice and keyboards to form your next works of imagination. Use prims, use mesh, let your inspiration take shape! While creating, don't forget to stay rooted firmly in the 10 Principles of Burning Man and within the Terms of Service, Community Standards and Maturity rating of Burn2's regions. Guidelines are provided to help with this also. Now is the time to start getting ready.
For more than a decade, this Regional has echoed the look and feel of Black Rock City. We are excited! We hope you are, too! And so when the gate opens greeters will say to all who arrive, "Welcome Home!"

What is the Plot Sale?
Before Burners go to the dusty playa in Nevada, USA, they have to plan, prepare, pack up everything they'll need - and arrive with tickets in hand. The funds from the tickets sold help to defray the various costs of holding the event in the Black Rock Desert.
At Burn2, funds raised from plot sales help to defray the costs of the additional regions used for the Octoburn events. Burn2 Burners also purchase tickets in advance, although the plot sale will remain open until the last Sunday of the build period.
What Happens at Octoburn?
So much can happen - at Black Rock City, there is much music, storytelling, poetry reading, food, services (foot baths!) and a richly amazing range of artistic sharing and things to see. Burn2 enthusiastically echoes this! There is excitement in seeing the camps arriving on the playa! Camps that return year to year, first-time camps and friends old and new. Wonderful pieces of art, large and small. Camps of various sizes, where Burners may have tucked a little surprise or two for visitors to discover.
The best thing about the event is the connections made among the Burners. Old friends reconnect, new friendships are formed. New Burners are welcomed with a ring of the bell at the Gate! Not only is there a city, there is a community to celebrate the Burn together.
