About Wandering Performers

We're excited to see Octoburn approaching! We've seen the chatter of people working on build plans. We also know there have been questions from performers about stages at the event.

At our Octoburn events, we don't have any "main stage" - that is by design, as an echo of Black Rock City. Instead, we encourage people to build sound camps and have a schedule of DJs or live performers to play on their stage and/or host performers on their stages. Sound camps can come in all sizes. A few plot owners can come together, form a HUBS with a shared stage. A plot owner with a smaller, more intimate stage could host their own or "wandering" performers.Keep in mind, not every plot has to be a sound camp.

After someone gets a plot for Tomorrow Today, they are asked to fill out a questionnaire, and if they indicate they will be an active or music camp, one of the questions is, "Do you want to host performers on your sound camp stage?" Those that answered "Yes" are included in the list below. We will try to keep this list updated. If you want to do this, please contact an organizer for the camp if you are interested in playing on their stage. They may want to include you in their schedule, to avoid conflicts with other performers, and they may also put it into their listing on the WHO::WHAT::WHERE Guide that is coming out very soon.
