Invited Artist Nomination
Guidelines
We have a limited number of plots for 3D invited artist land grants in various sizes to be placed on the playa, along with allocations of panels for 2D invited artists that will be featured either in the HeARTery or out on the playa.
A few things to make sure your nominee knows and will follow:
• We encourage, but don't require, artists to create their art within this year's art theme: Tomorrow Today.
• Also, picture yourself on an ancient dried-up lake bed with mountains surrounding the playa. It is a hostile, water-scarce, dusty, windy place. How would your art stand up to those elements?
• We also have invited artist guidelines. If your nominee is awarded a land grant for 3D art, the size and LI allocation will depend on details of the planned installation, ranging from as small as 4x4 meters up to 64x64 meters. Max height will be 28m.
We also expect compliance with the following policies:
• Linden Lab Terms of Service and Community Standards;
• Maturity Ratings;
• Burn2 Child Avatar Policy;
• and the Burn2 Adult Content Policy.
Our community is centered around the 10 Principles of Burning Man.
