Suffering’s the damn heartbeat of living.
No pain, no point, might as well skip the whole mess.
We’re trapped in a sappy love tale,
life and death swapping flirty glances,
us just the wilting flower life tosses death’s way
a tease that never gets laid.
All we got in this clown show romance
is grit to keep standing.
Venue
Peace Not War is a revival of an event first organised in March 2022.
At that time, it was created a hangout space called The Place of Disclosure, where people living through the war in Ukraine or helping at the Polish border , nurses, volunteers, friends and families , could connect.
Sometimes it was not direct conversation but communication through others, sharing real-time information, photos and news from the field.
Those were incredibly intense moments. Some people even came spontaneously to offer temporary homes for refugees, while others helped to find long-term solutions.
