Temple Burn
The entire Temple Burn ritual begins with the Lamplighters’ procession starting 2 hours before each burn, followed by a fire dance and a reading of the Censer messages, and concludes with a majestic, cathartic burn of Temple itself.
Community members are encouraged to participate by doing the following:
Walk with the Lamplighters in their procession! Meet up with them at their Village.
Leave a message in the Censer in the Temple. It will be in place by Sunday 19th October and be available through midnight Saturday 25th October. The messages will be read out to the community just before the Temple burns.
You can send a photo for the memorial walls inside the Temple to Lily Von Magic (lilyvonschtupp), full perm, through midnight Friday 24 October. The photos will go up in flames with the Temple when it burns.
Venue
The Lamplighters bring the fire to the playa, with twice daily processions, and fire dances before the burns. They also oversee the Temple at its location in Burn2 Eternal Embers.
