Art Car Parade
The Art Car Parade at high noon SLT is a yearly event open to everyone. If you created your own (pre-registered and inspected) car for Octoburn you can be at the front of the line! If you don’t have your own art car, you can still join the parade, either as a passenger on one of the large art cars, or you can use one of the many art cars from the DMV rezzer and join in!
We will be departing promptly so please arrive at least 10 minutes early. The line will be forming in the same place as last year, not in the DMV sandbox but in a location nearby. Please look nearby for the line forming or check the landmark location provide in this event notice. Then grab a car, get in line, and join the fun! We ask that drivers please honk your horns and blow fire frequently.
As in previous years there will be an afterparty at a builder’s camp. Details will be provided to those attending, or search this who-what-where database for Parade Afterparty.
Venue
An art car parade is planned for Sunday, Oct 19, 12 noon SLT. We’ll meet a little before noon at the open space just North of Emergency Services. Look for the traffic cone which marks the mark the front of the line, then we’ll form a line behind that facing East. When we embark, we’ll head North from that corner and make a full circle around the region, honking horns and shooting fire.
