Bring in the New Year in true Burner style - let's end the old year with a nice, big burn!

The NYE Burn is a fun little tradition for Burners who want to celebrate virtually. The special thing about Burn2 as a virtual regional is that by participating with your avatar, you get that unique sense of presence, of being with others and sharing the experience together. You can immerse yourself as you engage with the setting through your avatar. You can ring in the new year with friends hailing from all over the world!

Deep Hole is a dark, snowy landscape. Visitors will land at the end of Gerlach Road, next to some train tracks. The lights of different places on the playa beckon - a stage with colorful, shiny hexagons in the dance floor; a giant effigy of the year 2022 set over a cave carved out of a snowy mountain; a gazebo for relaxing; huge, beautifully decorated ice lake for skating; a train to ride around and see the sights; and game areas for a bit of fun.

That effigy will burn several times (given in SLT) through the day:
3:00pm, 4:00pm, 8:00pm, 9:00pm, 10:00pm, 11:00pm, Midnight

Music will fill the playa during the hours around the burns:
