Here’s what you need to know:
We follow the:
Ten Principles of Burning Man,
AND SL Terms & Conditions,
AND SL Moderate "M" Maturity Rating.
As with all Burn2 events, we follow the Decommodification Principle (as required by the Burning Man organization), so please refrain from putting out:
- Tip jars
- Group joiners
- Club or event advertising
- Commercial or promotional items
- Landmarks or slurls to off-playa locations
- In-chat promotion spam
We do encourage you to enhance your SL profile so you can direct people there for more information about you.

Burnal Equinox 2026 Schedule
EVENT SCHEDULE
EVENT: 17-19 April
AFTERGLOW WEEK: 20-26 April
THANK YOU PARTY: SUNDAY 26 April noon-midnight SLT
* IMPORTANT: 2 hours max for the event. You can book one 1-hour slot, two 1-hour slots, or one 2-hour slot.
- Time slots on the signup form are in one-hour increments. Please book 1 hour or 2 (consecutive) hours.
- Each booking must be no more than 2 hours long.
- Two stages are available:
- Main Stage (provided by Burn2) or
- BOB Stage, an open 32m x 32m x 20m, 350LI max, if you want to bring your own stage build
Wear your Burn2 Access "Burn2 Performer" tag when you come to perform at Burn2. This will allow you to rez the props or stage set you need for your performance. You will also be able to take the stream when your set begins.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Performers may not use media objects without prior authorisation from the stage manager and event coordinator.
Check in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time in the Burn2 Access group. If we don't hear from you by 20 minutes before your show time, we will seek a replacement and you may lose your slot.
On the form, you will have the option to enter your own stream URL or "later" if you will get one closer to the event. We strongly urge a minimum 100 listener stream. Please have it tested and ready at check-in.
When you check in, you will be acknowledged by a member of the event team. When it comes time for your show, either you or the stage manager can perform the stream handoff to the next performer.
Backup Performers: Occasionally, a performer may be unable to play at their assigned show time. Things happen - loss of Internet, computer glitches, illness. Watch the Burn2 Access group for calls for cover/backup performers when needed.
If you learn you will not be able to perform at your assigned time, please communicate with the Event Coordinator, Lily Von Magic, or one of the Stage Managers as soon as possible.
Decommodification: We sincerely appreciate the gift of your talent and time that you share with the Burn2 community! As with all Burn2 events, performers and artists alike are asked to agree to the following rules for Decommodification as required by the Burning Man organization: No tip jars, no group joiners, no in-chat promotion spam, no club advertising. We do encourage you to enhance your SL profile.
Radical Self-reliance: We will provide you with the necessary information in order to perform at Burn2's event. Please watch for and save the confirmation notecard that will have the location of the stage and instructions for operating the stream controller. If you have not received your Burn2 Performer tag, contact Lily Von Magic or iSkye Silvercloud inworld to get tagged. While there is often a staff member on hand to assist, there may be times when staff are not available; your notecard and group tag will allow you to operate the stream controller yourself. We encourage this!
Got Questions?
If you do not understand something that is stated in these performance guidelines, please ask. We love people to be better informed and feel better about what we do and why.
