BURN2 is an extension of the Burning Man festival and community into the world of Second Life. It is an officially sanctioned Burning Man Regional, the only virtual world Regional out of more than 100 Regional groups worldwide, and the only Regional to burn the Man!
This unique virtual Regional spreads the culture and Ten Principles of Burning Man year-round in Second Life, culminating in an annual major festival of community, art and fire in the fall - a virtual echo of Burning Man itself.
We are forming up teams, we seek volunteers to help in various roles. See below, let us know if you're interested! How? Two ways:
Come to the next weekly planning meeting FYI - NO MEETING the 24th of November due to US Thanksgiving holiday.
If you cannot attend meetings because you live in a time zone that makes it impossible to attend at the 9pm SLT time, YOU STILL CAN VOLUNTEER! Drop a notecard on iSkye Silverweb inworld and she will share your interest at the next planning meeting, connect you with people who also want to help in the area you are interested in.
EVENT LEAD: -- Guides the event teams to ensure everyone has what is needed to get ready for the event by staying in touch with the team leads and providing support where needed.

COMMUNICATIONS TEAM: -- help get the word out about the next event when we start to promote it, especially on social media. Contact iSkye Silverweb if interested.
LEAD: iSkye Silverweb TEAM: Mia Quinote (Facebook), Suz Super (Google+) NEED: Contact iSkye if you would like to help spread word on other social media or inworld.
BURN BUILD TEAM: -- This team will build and script to burn, the Burn object that the planning team and Burn team agree to burn.
LEAD: Cuga Rajal NEED: Contact Cuga Rajal inworld
STAGE BUILD TEAM: -- This team will build the stage to the theme of this event.
PERFORMANCE TEAM: -- This team will schedule DJs and live performers, utilising the stage that will be built for the event.
CO-LEADS: Suz Super and dasweetdude NEED: Stage Hosts, performers (contact Suz or dasweetdude to schedule your performance)
PLOT BUILDERS LIAISONS: -- This team will work with the Event Lead (Daark Gothly) in assigning builders to plots, assisting builders with questions and other details related to plot builds.

BUILDERS/ARTISTS: -- YOU are important, too. There's no "us" without "u"!! Get ready to sign up, and start building when plots are ready to assign. Work with the Plot Builder Liaisons to get your guidelines and plot assignments once you are contacted to confirm your application acceptance.

GREETERS: -- If you're already in the BURN2 Community Volunteers group, awesome! Contact Freia Guillaume if interested in greeting. If not already in the group, let Freia know you are interested in helping to greet! You are the first folks that visitors will see when they arrive, to welcome them, make them feel AT HOME.
CO-LEADS: Freia Guillaume, Queen Eli NEED: Builder(s) for the welcome area (to be built to theme). Greeters to sign up! Contact Freia Guillaume to sign up.
SCRIPT/TEXTURE/BUILD GODS & GODDESSES -- This is for you, if you don't have time or the desire to do a full build, but you want to help wherever someone asks for it. Maybe add to the DMV's continually growing collection of artcars! Or, if someone at the event is having difficulty with a build, script or texture, this is where you can participate.
